Identifying the application’s throughput requirements

Using 802.11n that can support up to 300 Mbps of available bandwidth does not necessarily mean that all signals from every access point will transmit at 300 Mbps. As such, a coding scheme must be established to manage the interference in the channel or provide more access points in closer proximity to that user’s radio location.

If multiple devices try to transmit simultaneously, it would lead to collisions that cause latency in the network.
